Rivningskartan

IT'S HERE! Rivningskartan.se is an interactive mapping of stories and memories of demolished, threatened or saved buildings around Sweden. Developed by ACAN Sweden and the web agency Sally, it is now open for everyone to contribute buildings and stories!

On January 18, ACAN Sweden invites you to a discussion evening and workshop at Oceanen about the consequences of urban development, what is at risk of being lost and what we can do instead. We want to look at the issue from several perspectives. What strategies should we have to take advantage of what is already built? What are the challenges and potentials of the existing ones? And what are the consequences and costs of urban development?

Is it too easy to demolish?

More info and a list of guests will come soon. Program is held in Swedish.

ACAN - Architects Climate Action Network - Sweden is a non-profit network and a forum for climate engagement, with the goal of creating a sustainable community building within the planetary boundaries.

Accessibility
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
