Mörkret and Up The Punx proudly present: THIS GIFT IS A CURSE + BLESSINGS

This Gift is A Curse

This monster of a band comes back again to embrace Gothenburg and the west coast with its night-black darkness. By combining elements of hardcore and slam with large doses of occult black metal, this group continually succeeds in flabbergasting us with their ritualistic performances. Heavy and intense riffs, violent drumming, nightmarish soundscapes and ritualistic tributes. Do not miss this! Prepare yourself for serious knuckle sandwich in your face and bring your own tar! ALL HAIL THE SWINELORD!

Blessings

One of the best bands out of Gothenburg’s right now. Blessings was formed in 2011 and released its debut Bittervatten in 2012. New Year’s Eve 2018 saw the release of the sequel Biskopskniven. The music is based in hardcore and noise rock with a free-spirited attitude to other influences, which can be attributed to the members’ collective experiences. Blessings do what they want and act free from demands and expectations.

We Live In Trenches (Gbg)

Lots of water under the bridges since this group was last seen on stage. Now they are back. The bridges have been blown up and the water has accumulated in the dam. In classic composition and with a reinforcement from Division of Laura Lee in the drum section, they will melt your brain with their intrinsic concoction of noise rock and far too slow grindcore. The bloody levee is about to break, holy shit we are psyched!

Accessibility:
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person. Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
