Oceanen presents: Hannes
After a praised debut that has been compared with artists like Frank Ocean and Al Green, Hannes is back with the critically acclaimed EP “When the City Sleeps” and the following tour. Since the debut EP “Summer 3000” in 2019, Hannes and his producer Marcus White have made a big impact on the Swedish music scene. Hannes describes his music as “night in a city, darkness with streaks of light from cars, busses, and houses.” During the fall of 2021, the seven-track EP “When the City Sleeps” was released, which includes the radio hits “Snooze”, “Sugar” and “I Feel It”. In a review of the EP, DN wrote: “ The joyful sound is of course balanced with the depth from Hannes velvety voice, his high notes in “Snooze” make shivers climb all the way up to ones scalp. It lands just right in the r&b-fragrant pop, the merge is simply addictive.” Last year Hannes played at a packed Rivhuset at Popaganda and at the start of this year he is going on tour with stops in Sweden and Denmark.
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility.
