Have you ever wondered how your carpet was made? Do you want to learn how to weave one?
Welcome to a workshop where you will learn the basic weave techniques and get to try how it is to work with a small and a large weave. The textile artist Felicia will be there to guide you through the workshop. During the class you will also learn how to build your own weave frame from recycled material.
About the artist:
Felicia Rauma Andersen is a textile artist with a two-year education from Örbro Art school and a Bachelor’s degree from HDK-Valand in textile art. Felicia works mainly with installations with weave as a starting point.
The recommended age is from 8-years + adults. 1 child and 1 adult is included in one ticket (50 SEK). Snacks for children are included in the ticket price.
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility.
We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage.
This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend.
We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events.
