Beverly Kills

Beverly Kills

Beverly Kills are not afraid to blaze their own trail. With their feet on the ground and their heads in the clouds, they manage to balance between the familiar and the unexplored. Post-punk meets scenic pop melodies in contemporary reflections of love, friendship, growing up and rebellion. The music is imbued with joy and unstoppable energy, rarely leaving its surroundings untouched.

With roots in Umeå and Örebro, the members Alma Westerlund, Viggo Mattsson, Hampus Höggren, and John Jonsén have found their place in Gothenburg, where they found a context together, constantly looking out over the world.

On 2022's debut album Kaleido, the band expanded further towards dreamier and more danceable elements, without ever losing their distinctive post-punk and indie crossover sound. After sold-out shows in their hometown of Gothenburg and a week-long touring around Mexico, they ended the year by opening for Wolf Alice before heading to the US and SXSW.

The band's latest single 'Melatonin' is the first step in a new direction, more energetic and focused than ever.

Accessibility

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
