Venus Anon

Venus Anon has grown into one of the most exciting new names on the Nordic music scene. With her genre-blurring sound and lyrics that strike straight at the heart, she has established herself as one of the country’s most captivating artists. Raised on Sweden’s west coast with Googoosh and Timbaland blasting through the speakers, and later shaped by Stockholm’s underground and queer scenes, she has crafted an expression where contemporary R&B, pop, early-2000s indie and electronic production merge into something entirely her own.

In 2023, Venus released Nocturnal, a mixtape that received widespread praise and led to performances at festivals such as Way Out West and By:Larm. In 2024, she followed up with a Grammis nomination for Soul/R&B of the Year and a sold-out headline show in London.

She now returns with Catharsis, a four-track EP that she wrote, produced and recorded herself. The project has been highlighted by DAZED, Viper, Colors and The Needle Drop, showcasing Venus Anon at her most uncompromising and self-assured yet.

Accessibility

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
