Steröid
Steröid blasted out of the Sydney punk scene alongside Gee Tee, R.M.F.C., and Tee Vee Repairmann, but they brought their own recipe: a filthy, chrome-plated fusion of Egg punk fury and NWOBHM swagger. Throw in a dollop of AOR melody if you like—this breakfast is messy, and they don’t care if you finish it.
Clad in chainmail, hard-boiled and half-fried, Steröid hit like an atom bomb with more swing than a pub brawl. Their riffs don’t just rip—they blister, then cauterize, then keep rocking while you bleed.
Behind the noise is rock and roll savant Lord Gordith (yes, the same twisted brain behind Gloomy Reflections and Quest Master), proving once again he might be the most vital and unpredictable force in heavy underground music today.
This is a record about rocking. And never stopping. And then rocking some more. You can rock with friends at a gig. Sometimes you rock alone. That’s okay. Just give it your best. And never—ever—miss your chance to rock.
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility.
We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage.
This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend.
We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events.
For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
