Pacific Waves Release Party

The Gothenburg band Pacific Waves plays lo-fi indie with elements of the 60s and 70s. On January 26th they'll release their new EP "Tango With A Twist" and the release party for this creation takes place at Oceanen. The EP was recorded in Brunnsvik with artist Jesper Lindell and shows the band in a slightly new form, but the slightly surfy guitar-based sound runs as a common thread through all five songs.

In the spring of 2020, the debut album "Youngster" was released to a warm reception;

Nöjesguiden 4/6: "It gives them an own and specific character that makes Youngster a freshly flourishing bouquet of pop songs."

Gaffa: "Lo-fi:ish sun-bleached indie from Gothenburg. For friends of Mac DeMarco and Golden Daze."

The album's third single Ride My Bike also appeared on Spotify's Indie Highlights and the Norwegian equivalent Indielista.

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
