Inspired by the various Open Stage events taking place in New York City, the idea was born to organize something similar in Gothenburg. The focus here is on the artists and performances. The fact that guests have the opportunity to eat and drink something tasty is just a bonus.
Gothenburg Open Stage has been operating since the fall of 2013, offering the opportunity to perform, meet the audience, be it musical performances, reciting lyrics, songs, stories, thoughts and reflections or the like! The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility.
We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage.
This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend.
We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
