Gimme Signal LIVE: DEELA (NG/UK)

Gimme Signal LIVE returns for its second edition at Oceanen – where genre-bending live acts collide with the intensity of the club. With the same uncompromising focus on quality, representation, and musical edge, Gimme Signal presents the artists of tomorrow, with a special spotlight on queer and female voices moving freely across genres, expressions, and perspectives. Each night is carefully curated and framed by some of the city's most exciting DJ talents.

DEELA

DEELA is a British-Nigerian rapper whose confident style and razor-sharp lyrics have quickly made her a name to watch. At just 23, she blends trap, hip-hop and afrobeats with a distinct flow and energy, rapidly growing a global audience. She’s collaborated with Flo Milli, Teni and BXKS, earned praise from industry heavyweights like Amaarae and Baby Keem, and been spotlighted by NME and Complex as one of the most important new voices of 2025.

With each release, DEELA continues to push boundaries, proving that she isn’t just part of the future of Afrobeats and hip-hop; she’s defining it.

DJ VV

DJ VV is known not to be confined by genre and known for her fluid, rhythm-driven sets that blur boundaries and build bridges. Her sound is a high-energy fusion of Afro Electro, Baile electro, Ghetto Tech, Bass, Breaks, Jersey Club and contemporary club.
With a deep understanding of club culture and an ear for raw, percussive energy, her selections are instinctive, unpredictable, and rooted in movement.
Outside the booth, DJ VV is also the founder of ROOTED - a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to community-building and creative exchange, nurturing a more inclusive and collaborative cultural landscape.

★ZEMI★

Zemi is a Gothenburg-based DJ and event curator whose passion for music is deeply rooted in genres like Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, and Hip-Hop. His sets blend both classic tracks and fresh edits, staying true to the original sounds while keeping the energy dynamic and unpredictable.

Accessibility

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
