Barnens Ocean & Gothenburg Fringe Festival presents: Jazzfåglar
The performance will be shown in the Gathenhielmska garden located on the left side of Oceanen. The entrance is located on Stigbergstorget. In case of rain, the performance will be shown in the dance studio located on the second floor of Oceanen. The entrance is located at the back of the building of the Culture house. Time: 11:15–11:45 Doors open 15 minutes before the show starts. Age guidande: from 2 -12 years + adults Jazzfåglar by Kollektivet Jazzfåglar In JAZZFÅGLAR we invite the audience to go bird watching a new species called JAZZFÅGLAR – a hybrid of many different birds and a completely unique species. The piece is a musical, energetic and curious research of birds’ movement, behaviour and life through an exploration of jazz dance. Our main theme for the performance is the authentic jazz dance style of imitating animals, Animal Dances, in a contemporary shape. Gothenburg Fringe Gothenburg Fringe gives space to artists from different backgrounds to make their voices heard and create a festival experience like no other. About Barnens Ocean: Barnens Ocean is a new initiative and programme aimed at children and their grown-ups. Through different collaborations with a wide range of programmes of different genres, Barnens Ocean is a place where children from all over the city can meet, experience and explore art and culture together with other children and grown-ups. The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility.
We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage.
This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend.
We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
